Minor Injuries Walk-In service
Emsworth Surgery is now operating a minor injury walk-in service from 8am - 6.30pm Monday – Friday. We are providing this service so that patients will not
have to travel to hospital for minor injuries. You do not need to be registered with
the Practice to use this service but the injury must have occurred up to 24 hours prior to presentation.
There are limitations to the minor injuries service which will be offered but it does include stitching and gluing of cuts, minor dislocations of fingers and toes which do not require an x-ray, nail injuries, nasal or aural foreign bodies and minor burns.
Patients will be seen by a doctor or a nurse and will be referred on to the Accident & Emergency Department at either St Richard’s Hospital or Queen Alexandra Hospital if the injury cannot be treated at the surgery.
