Test Results

We receive the results of most tests within one week, X rays or scans may take up to two weeks as do some unusual tests.

If the result of a test is abnormal we will try and contact you. (Please make sure the surgery has your up to date phone number and address). If the test result is normal it is usually filed and we will not routinely let you know.

If you are concerned phone the surgery one week after your test was performed (two weeks if it was an x ray or scan). The receptionists will be happy to let you know if the result was normal. If it was abnormal they will arrange for someone to explain it to you.

The best time to phone us for results is mid-morning.
